Hey guys first post here and heres the story

I remember having a Casio watch in the early nineties twas a black one with a bblack rubber type strap and i also had a very similar one in silver with a metal strap.
Anyway are these watches still made? im sure you know the type im on about fairly 80s 90s spec type thing, mine were indestructible and very neat and comfy to wear, alas in a house move mine dissappeared:mad:i blame a friend who liked em too
I saw them on ebay but am wary that they may be cheap crap copies
I would really like one again so any help appreciated

Well I dunno about 90's stuff but there are collectors of 80's and earlier digital and quartz stuff. Really early g shocks can fetch good money. I'm sure you could pick one up second hand if you knew the model number.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Talking about casio I saw a very nice g-shock in Weir & Sons that I might treat myself to, price wasn't displayed but just wondering if their prices would be ok or would it be better to get the model number and buy online.

I have a GW-M5600 myself and use it as a beater. The accuracy is incredible.
I have been accused of wearing "A pound shop job" by some friends but my protestations about it's design, use by Nasa, it's accuracy, it's price are all to no avail. :(

99% of the time you'll find it a lot cheaper online. I bought my last G-Shock in Tourneau in New York and thought i'd gotten a good deal on it. Had a look online a week later and i could have got it $150 cheaper if i ordered it online.
