Rent reduced, deposit refund on reduced amount?

Hi, We had our apartment rent reduced recently, LL requested in return to renew the lease in May (when it expires) with the reduced rent. One of my room mates had their rent reduced in a previous accommodation and said the reduced amount is also refunded back from the security deposit?? Just wondering if we should also…

Hi,

Just wondering if we should also request a refund on the reduced amount from the deposit? are we within our rights to do that?

If the deposit was €1,000 at the start, unless it is agreed otherwise, it is €1,000 a the end.
