well you have Port Aventura 5 mins away, which is a major major plus with kids(no doubt you will enjoy it too). Barcelona is an our and a half away and a fantastic city. Only in Cambrils for a few hours but it seems nice and laid back. More classier than Salou, which is just down the beach.

RTE's travel show featured it last Sunday - you can probably still see it on RTE Player - www.rte.ie/player

Stayed there about 7 years ago or so. Really well organised site - in my opinion one of the best in Spain. Everything you need is on site. Very good pools, good restaurant and shop. Childrens entertainment at night. Good security.

The beach is about 10 mins walk away. Maybe the access has improved now but back then you had to walk along a narrow enough road, which went over a railway line and then across a busy road. We nearly always ended up driving there but many were happy to walk.

Since I was there, a new road has opened at the side of the site and maybe the access to the beach is better from there. I don't know though if you can access this road direct from the site.

We stayed in one of the chalets. A bit pricey but you won't be disappointed.
