    Hi,
I've only recently started the whole singer songwritting thing and I've already been playing guitar for about two years- on and off.

I've posted two original songs here :

I'd love any comments and criticism to help me out, especially with my singing.

    Thanks Guys :)

Don't Mind Judas, you just might to take a tweaking voice coaching lesson or two and see what you sound like in the studio.

As said by ab20 it would be HUGELY beneficial to you to get vocal lessons.

I remember years ago i went to parnell school of music for bass lessons and saw a currently well known rock singer in there getting singing lessons and believe me he was nowhere near as good as he is now!

Your guitar is coming on fine so i would concentrate your funds on the vocals, would boost your confidence no end.

Stick with it lad and all the best!

Of course I'm not good enough, I've never sang in my life until about 2months ago. I only asked for some help and you telling me I'm not good enough was errrr......helpful?

    and everyone else:
Thanks for the kinder words. I'd love to get singing lessons but I really can't afford them at all. Anything I can do myself to improve a little by any chance?

    Cheers

It was a joke based on your song dude.

I think the verse goes " Am I good enough, am I good enough?"

You could benefit from a proper mic and soundcard. Second song is better.

Also, both songs are only two chords, perhaps more variety? Key changes ect.

Keep practicing singing and project from your diaphragm and not your throat/nose.

Ok i apologise for not copping on to that one haha

sorry man, although it wasn't a very helpful statement in fairness ;)

Thanks for the feedback there though. I'll continue to practice when I can, but I never know weather I'm doing things the right way at all.

Can you recommend any proper mics and soundcards?

    Thanks A Mill

Judas is right, you're singing from the wrong place. It's understandable if you have only started singing recently. You will grow confidence as you go but at the moment it sounds like you're intentionally barely opening yer gob and maybe you trying slightly to muffle your lyrics as you are still a bit cautious of completely showcasing your work as openly as possible?

I've been singing since I was a kid and it was only three years ago I finally settled on a singing style I felt right as my own. Just gotta keep slugging away at it!
