Pregnant while taking pill

    Hi everyone.

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I see it as a personal issue, so giving it a shot!

I have a niggling feeling I may be pregnant even though I take the combined pill Dianette. I take it religiously, having only missed one pill since being on it ( 3 years now. ) I have taken 3 different courses of antibiocts in the past 2 months, but I don't believe they were the kind that interferes with the pills effectivness. Even so, I made sure we used condoms. However, recently one split, and now 4 weeks later I have some pregnancy symptoms - lots of nasuea, vomiting, headaches and now for the past 3 days, tender breasts.
I had a normal bleed on my pill free week. But as this is not a usual period ( being on pill ) I don't think it's a relevent sign that I am NOT pregnant.

I am getting a home test tomorrow after work to be sure.

But what's really worrying me is if I am pregnant, how does conceiving on the pill ( esp Dianette ) effect the fetus? I've heard read some horror stories online.

I really would love to hear from some ladies whom this may have happened to.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to talk to your doctor and/or pharmacist.

    Hi OP.
I don't see the benefit of asking for people's "experiences" with a drug! Some people are lucky and some people aren't.

I'm sure you will find precautionary instructions on the pack your medication came in or even on the manufacturers website.

As usual the mods are right, go to your GP.

As above, very difficult for anyone here to give you advice, since you don't even know for sure whether you are pregnant or not. Take the test.

It can and does happen, even with out conflictions with other medications.
The only way to know is to test and talk to your dr.
