Help! Missed signing day, dole cut off in Galway

    Hi all,

Did this happen to anyone else in Galway city? A friend of mine missed his signing on day last week as no letter was sent out informing him of the signing date, as usually happens. Instead, this information is now supplied on the bottom of your post office collection receipt. He only realised he was cut off when he went to collect at the post office yesterday evening....and there was nothing to collect....nightmare.

Would love to know if this sounds familiar to anyone else,

    Thanks,
    S

Did he contact his local sw office?

If you miss your singing on day you wont get anything from that day until you go in and sign on again.

No he hasn't had a chance to go yet as he only found out this evening......he'll be down there tomorrow morning but he doesn't want to lose out on a weeks payment......any way around this?

Great advice and reassuring to find out that it shouldn't be a big deal for him tomorrow.
