I just bought the special edition DVD of Misery, with special features such as separate audio commentaries from the director and the writer, and a documentary about the film. I have tried the DVD in both my PS3 and PC, and the special feaures are not available. The menu only has options for Play, Scene Selection, Language Options and Trailer.

I'm just wondering does anyone else here have this DVD and can access the special features?

Is there a second disc? I know that the PS3 plays Blu-Ray discs but DVD's are also compatible so I'm not sure what the problem is really.... Unless you got the normal edition disc by mistake?

It's not a 2 disc set anyway and it's definitely the special edition according to the DVD cover. On the back of the DVD there is actually a screenshot of the menu and it doesn't show the special features, which is strange.

I also got Full Metal Jacket on DVD which is supposed to have an audio commentary special feature but that too does not appear to be there!

Bring it back and get it replaced if you have a receipt. I think that's your best option tbh.

Reminds me of the special edition of The Goonies DVD I purchased. One the main reasons I bought it was that it had a video / audio commentary with the cast 20 years on.

    And what did I get?!
Warner Home Video regrets to announce that, due to a manufacturing error, the DVD version of The Goonies has been distributed with an incomplete disc.

The incomplete DVD disc contains English language only and not the full range of languages listed on the sleeve. In addition, the audio commentary is missing from the disc.

The correct version containing all the listed languages plus the audio commentary will be available at all retailers from next Monday 11 October.

Anyone who has purchased a copy of the DVD containing the incomplete disc can exchange their DVD for the correct version by following these instructions:

    # Remove the DVD disc from its box
    # Place the disc in an envelope along with your name and address
    # Seal the envelope and send FREEPOST to:

    GOONIES
    FREEPOST SCE 4551
    PO BOX 327
    HAYES
    UB3 1BR

Please allow up to 28 days for delivery of replacement.

I never sent it off in the end in fear it would get lost.. a UK free-post address and all that!

    Was so pissed off!

PS - And no, I couldn't easily return it to the shop I bought it in.

Bought it in HMV in Dublin.. and only discovered when I got back to Sligo.

I bought my 'Special Edition' of Misery months ago, just got round to watching it, and lo and behold, no Special Features on the one disc, despite the sleeve promises. As I say, bought months ago, have no idea where the receipt is and as it stands, it's the manufacturer's problem. Have resorted to following MGM studios on Twitter, and asked them about it. No response as yet, and I'm now fearing watching my The Usual Suspects 'Special Edition' dvd in case it has the same manufacturing problem....

    Any tips?
