A dog for deer.

The brother is thinking of getting some class of a dog for tracking blood,any views on Bavarians ,or tekkels.

Bavarians are suppose to be the bizz. Mate has one, lovely dog with amazing nose.Great worker. I know they can be expensive and hard to come by in Ireland.
How about a German Wirehaired Pointer?

i have weimaraners but use them for phesents. they were used for deer tracking. next time i get one im going to use it for tracking deer to see how they get on
