Admittedly, I watched that with the sound off, but it looked pretty good. Powers Boothe... Val Kilmer.... Hell yes!

Although it seemes Kirsten Wiig is pretty prominent in the film, which is disappointing. Just don't like her

    :D

The words 'Based on a Saturday Night Live sketch' do not have a promising recordL

The Blues Brothers 1980 84% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    Wayne's World 83% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    Wayne's World 2 1993 59% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    Coneheads 27% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    It's Pat 0% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
Stuart Saves His Family 29% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
A Night at the Roxbury 10% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    Blues Brothers 2000 45% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
    Superstar 33% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com
The Ladies Man 11% fresh on Rottentomatoes.com

The only real score was The Blues Brothers back in 1980.
SNL films are based on one note jokes stretched so thin as to be transparent. Besides, do we really need a McGyver parody? Isn't that a little redundant?

Not really expecting much from this - although the trailer has one good gag (MacGruber discovering the tonnes of wire inside a nuke, "What the f*ck is that?! ... I'm like a three-wire guy! ... Oh, there's green one! Awww... there's like a bunch of green!"). Who bets that's the one good gag in the entire film?

    Ad has been taken down...

Is this a movie being made out of the MacGyver spoof from SNL?

Holy **** was this a pile of ****. I don't think that I laughed once, hell, I don't think even a wry smile came across my face. It was just juvenile humour all together, I don't know why Ryan Philippe signed up for this, he must have owed someone a big favour. No doubt he was embarassed by the film because he didn't even show up to promote the film when Forte and Wiig were guest GMs on WWE Raw a few weeks ago.

I saw MacGruber and some woman (in character) host RAW a few weeks ago - which actually turned me off the movie; much like Jeremy Piven whoring "The Goods"....; it felt like a South Park knock off (maybe that's just the song hook they kept using) but it didn't get me interested in the film.

I'll see how the reviews turn out here before deciding to see it; but it's unlikely to be a film i'd enjoy. Hope i'm wrong anyway
