Before our 086, ZX 48K spectrum, and Green Screen Amstrad CPC 464...................
Back in the early 80's (Before 1984) my father had a console that was very similar
to the Atari 2600 series. I always had a feeling that the the Console
was a little older that the 2600. Or maybe an Atari Clone.
    Somewhere between

Every time I look at a photo of a 2600/5200 my memories get a little conflicting when I'm not sure if we had the version similar to the wood effect, or the all black plastic with the rainbow like metallic sticker.

One thing I do remember are the Cartridges and the Joysticks that came with
    the Console.

I've googled and googled and have yet to find an image on the Joystick
or games cartriges that we had.

I remember the Games Cartridges were black, and more wide than tall.
They had a silver sticker on the front of them to indicate the game.
The sticker with the game picture was silver with black text and monocrome picture. (ie the Pic of the game label was not colour) Very similar to Atari 7800 cartridges but the games would not have been that
advanced and from an earlier era.

We had Space Invaders, a Horse Racing game, and Invisible Tanks.
The Tank game, both players tanks were invisible and only appeared on screen when you fired.

The Controllers/Joysticks are what really stuck out in my mind.
They were long, black, The upper part of the controller had what looked
like a Tandy Delux joystick that was analog, underneath there was 2 Red Fire/action buttons (rectangular not round) and underneath there was lots
of other unmarked black buttons that never did anything.

The controller and console was this kind of style,
But was different to the pic:

Cant find anything that matches clone or otherwise on here:

    Anyone remember similar?
