How is this image done?

    I like the way the C is arranged around the H in this image. But how is it done? Presume layering is involved, but what else would have been used?

    I think the pic is made from 3 layers and some places of letter C are erased :)

    A layer mask is applied to the C, blocking out parts that go behind the H :)
