Hey guys kinda new to the fishing forum here so heres a bit of background fishing-wise. Ive been fishing about 7-8 years from sea fishing to the fly to course etc. Spent a year in boston a couple years ago at which time i was mad into flyfishing and flytying (flytying i became very decent at) and with the convenience of a flytying suppliers and flyfishing store right around the corner from me, things were great!

So lately ive been dying to get back into both and am wondering if anyone has a rough idea the price of a decent trout/salmon rod and reel as well as a pretty well assorted flytying kit with all youd need for all the basic irish flies (not even a kit, like an idea about the price of all combined tying items)

If someones been in a similar boat before and have been shown the way to a great deal id appreciate the help!!!

Thanks in advance. (bit of a messy post sorry!)

It would be worthwhile for you the visit the angling exhibitions that on next month. There is one on in the National Exhibition Centre near the airport. Its on Sat/Sun 13/14 Feb.
This year there is another one on in City West:http://www.hooked.ie/
There is usually good deals on fly fishing gear to be had at them.
Also for fly tying gear you should check out Celtic Fly Craft they usually exhibit at the NEC one.http://www.celticflycraft.co.uk/ Hope this is some help to you.
