    Hi,

Looking to return to college as a mature student in sept '10 to do Pharmaceutical Science . Just wondering if anyone is doing this course at the moment would like to give me an insight to what the course is like?workload?timetable? etc?

    Any help would be great!
    Thanks!

I'm not doing that course but we have shared some of the same modules with that class over that last few years. I'm not trying to put you off but the it is a serious workload. Lectures and practicals amount to about 25+ hours per week. Of the 15 or so that began the course, there is only one person left this year! It is supposed to be a very interesting course if you have an interest in science though. It starts off in first year with some basic chemistry/biology/physics modules and gets more advanced each semester. If you have a genuine interest in science and can work hard, go for it!

    thanks for the reply,
yeah, im prepaired for the hard work. judging by the course outline on the WIT website, it looks like the workload was gonna be tough. Just wanted to get some opinions.

Not in that course either but i know they share alot of modules with Biotech and some with ag. science. Its supposed to be pretty tough goin. As far as i know theres a good bit of maths and the workload is rough as a badger

workload is no greater than the other science courses, low numbers in third year ok (due to many reasons) but first year and second year have app 20 in each.
