Transfer Shares

    Hi,

Some time ago I bought some Irish and US shares through an Irish Stockbroker. I subsequently opened an ETrade account and have been using this to trade in US shares.
I am trying to figure out the pros and cons of transferring the US shares held by the Irish broker to my ETrade account.
    Is the procedure difficult?
    Is it worthwhile doing?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Probably just easiest to sell them, tranfer the money and buy them again.

I would have to pay commission on the sale if I did that, which I was hoping to avoid. I'm not sure what costs are involved in transferring...

Cost of transfer would be slightly higher than sell/buy commissions.
