I was about to set up a mythbox over Christmas, and was looking at LinHES (it used to be alled knoppmyth). I did two test installs, and they were straightforward. It's another good option. I decided I needed a better TV card though.

I got a bit sidetracked in the end by discovering Vortexbox which isnow permanently installed on the machine I'd meant for Myth!

It sits quietly in the corner swallowing my entire CD collection disc by disc and making it all available via upnp, mpd and squeezebox.
Great combination of a remotely controlled jukebox and a streaming server.
When it's done with a CD, it ejects and you put another one in and it rips to flac, converts to mp3/m4a and tags all results.
All automatically, no screen or keyboard required.
I'm going to try to install mythtv backend on the vortexbox this weekend,
so I'll post back how I get on.
