    Eirtext pro diff.
    • Send messages to EirText & EirText Pro users using Push messaging*.
    • Receive messages from EirText for Mac & EirText Pro users via Push messaging*.
    • International message sending (except O2 UK, Meteor & Three). that's main for me.
    • Landscape SMS.
    • Message scheduling (O2.ie & Vodafone.ie only).
    • Quick filter contacts.
    • Tap-to-remove contacts.
    • Message forwarding from history.
    • Dial directly from history.

well it all depends upon you, i do send lots of international message so it's worth for me.
you can always try the free version and upgrade later if any feature interest you.

I upgraded pretty much just to support the developer - a couple of quid to encourage development of a fantastic app, money well spent imo.

Is it cheaper to send a text via Eirtext when not in a wifi spot? (I'm a PAYG customer).

Depends what kind of data service you have, what network etc. As far as I recall, O2's payg data charges you something like 99c a day for up to 50MB, so if you're using any data whatsoever on the same day it would be cheaper than just sending a regular text.

I had a lot of trouble with this application not logging into my vodafone account. I downloaded JellySMS and love it. Never any trouble. It's the iPhone App of JSMS on the computer.
