Who on earth wants a stain'd signature guitar?

Signed and wrecked reliced its 17000. Who's that rich AND stupid?

Just buy the guitar and "relic" it yourself if you're so desperate to have a battered looking guitar.

I mean come on, if you want your guitar to look well used.... Well just use it and abuse it then.

Aged and signed for $17,198...I'll take 10!

If a 2 year old ran the company, they'd do a better job.

some how I dont think this is true:

"The Grammy-nominated songwriter, frontman for hit rock band Staind, wrote some of the last decade’s most enduring and gut-wrenching songs"

Gibson have lost the plot. And Staind suck.

Ah ffs, what's up with them. Relicing guitars is the easiest money making ploy ever.

Make a nice guitar, completely wreck it and charge more! It's messed up, if i wanted it i'd do it myself. I did do it with a tele when i was like 15, it doesn't bother me, i didn't pay someone else to do it. Good god, this buy a "pre relic'd" guitar business is just a joke. Gibson are desperate.

    Yeah doesn't really make a lot of sense....though I'd still like a Joe Strummer telectaster :)http://www.fender.com/features/joestrummer/ http://www.fender.com/news/index.php?display_article=199

Ah, just get a Tele, paint it black and beat the **** out of it? The ideas behind that guitar have nothing in common with the ideas behind The Clash :pac:

    The guy from Staind? What.

I remember when this guy first broke, fueled entirely by his band's sponsorship by Fred Durst. Even coming as it did at the height of the nu-metal craze, his faux-Cobain tosh was gone and forgotten about in well under a year. It's really indicative of the current state of gibson that they've chosen somebody like this for a signature model. Even ignoring the price-point of the guitars, he's scarcely a talented songwrited, and a power-chords-only guitarist.

And he's supposedly "wrote some of the last decade’s most enduring and gut-wrenching songs". And what "continued artistry" are they referring to exactly? I've just checked, and the band are still together, but have continually released albums that have pretty much bombed.

I'm watching some music videos of his (incognito to save me from myself) and although I had forgotten almost entirely, he wrote some seriously awful tunes.

    Watch this for example.

    "It's been a while
since I've gone and f***ed things up
    Just like I always do."

    Wait, what?
