Praise the Lord, Joss Whedon's Finally Seen the Light

Joss Whedon to me is the epitome of what a great writer should be. His dialogue flows, his characters are real, his stories no amtter what the setting always resonate with the audience and above all he seems a top bloke. Shame then that his and his cohorts blind allegiance to Fox has seen a number of truly great shows canceled before their time.

Thankfully it seems that he may be searching for a new home from which to launch his future endeavors. Shame then that it's taken him so long to consider the move and while nothign is concrete yet, my fingers are firmly crossed. Had it happened sooner we may still be watching the motley crew of the Firefly traversing the verse, perhaps the superior Drive would be on air albeit it with a slightly different cast.

FX is one of the few cable networks that does an executive session here at the press tour, and for good reason: they've having a heck of a good last couple of years, on both the comedy and drama fronts. And they seem to be very high on their new shows in development, including Justified, Louie, and a new show from Shawn Ryan called Terriers.

But network president John Landgraf mentioned that he's having lunch in the next few weeks with someone whose presence on the network could be potentially very interesting.

"I think I'm supposed to have lunch with Joss Whedon in two or three weeks," he told us, adding, "I have enormous respect for him."

Of course, a lunch doesn't mean that a Whedon-produced show is in the works. But the prospect of a Whedon show on FX in the next year or two is intriguing, given the network's envelope-pushing style.

FX are quite good. Really hopes this comes to pass.

Posted this in the 'Joss Whedon' forum last night.

FX would be a good fit for Joss.

You are correct, the FX stands for Fox eXtended.

About all i'm willing to add to this thread as I think Whedon is possibly the most overrated director of the last decade.

I actually thought the OP was supposed to be sarcastic

On the other hand it would be great if the excellent Enver Gjokaj does.
