Hi. i have the spec of my new comp nearly compleded. just have a few questions about cooling and the soundcard.

    1. do you only need extra cooling of the cpu or gpu if ur gonna be doing a lot of gaming? i wont be doing any gaming at all.

    2. is the soundcard what matters for good sound production quality when using ableton or other music production programs? or does the soundcard only matter when recording/playing music through the pc? would an onboard soundcard do the job if i use the Asio4all driver?

You only need extra cooling if you're going to be putting a lot of stress on the CPG/GPU. As you're not doing any gaming at all, then integrated graphics would suffice. Unless you're gonna be encoding lots of video the the stock coller on the CPU will do as well.

The soundcard is important for good music production. You should consider what inputs you will need. The asio drivers work well (I use them with FL Studio) with both my integrated audio (Realtek) and my PCI souncard (SB Live). None of these are high spec soundcards but they do me fine. Decent speakes are just as important when looking for good quality sound from your PC
