    ..See attached pic.

    I don't think I was even in a browser session at the moment that this poped up (NOD32) but there were sessions going on in the background.

    None of these sessions had that domain open?

    Could this have been an XSS attack or just something embedded in a rogue website?

    Just curious, Any ideas?

    Aren't jar files from java?

    I take it your not running firefox with noscript installed?

    I'm running Firefox 3.5, not sure about noscript :o

    Edit: Yes, jar files are java packages.

    The only real way to get rid of threat in windows is a complete format and reinstall of windows.

    Install noscript and block everything (flash, java,other plugins etc) until you establish a whitelist of sites you trust. Even so well known sites can be hacked to so you might be better off at blocking all sites, viewing them with limited functionality.

    Better yet install Ubuntu and you pretty much dont have to deal with viruses for the most part. You cant get pawned by drive by downloads with linux.
