    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience in shopping for commitment rings? I'm planning on surprising my gf of 6 years very soon but all I can see in shops are some very standard issue solitare rings or the kind of multiple stone rings that our mammies wear.

Any advice or ideas of where to shop for two matching, sparkly, funky diamond rings that will show the world that if we lived in an equal and modern society we would be planning our marriage

    Cheers all.

If you are looking for something different, why not design them yourself?

A quick google brings up someone like this

Belfast doesn't exactly offer the whole hog.

I don't really feel like crossing the border like some there is some sort of shame in it, it just doesn't have the positive feel to it that we'd like starting the rest of our lives together in love and commitment.

I know plenty of people are doing just that and if it's right for them then of course they should go for it. But seems like a waste of time when it means absolutely nothing once you enter the Republic again.

Anyhow this debate could rage on for days, I know it does when it crops up with friends :D, I'm really just interested in a recommendation for a jeweller if anyone has one?

    Cheers everyone.

Ironically enough, you'll probably get loads of suggestions in the Weddings & Marriage forum under the Soc menu.... :)
