i need to know how you find the y intercept on a graph , i am doing weibull distribution at the moment and am being asked to find the slope which is easy but also the y intercept when x= 0 .
i can't simply follow the line until it does so as some of the graphs are far too steep and where the intercept is is miles off the paper .

    anyone ?

Have you got an equation for the density function of the Weibull distribution? Don't bother graphing it: you know Y = f(x), so just whack in f(0).

If you only know the shape and scale parameters, you should still be able to work it out pretty easily from the wikipedia article.

its a simple matter to find the values for the x and y axis and then we are to plot them on graph paper , finding the slope is easy enough as its delta y over delta x , it is a line of best fit , but is a straight line graph .
