    Hi

I have the iphone 3gs jailbroken, unloced etc. I got a bill this morning and there is a recurring charge for a data download. It states "isp.vodafone" and the down load is 9.93 mb. Its €10 euro a twist and I dont know what it is. I know this is a long shot but does anyone have any idea what it might be?

    Thanks

One single charge? or a charge for the duration of the billing period? If it's the latter it may be the fetch mail checking for email every 15/30 mins.

You can turn the data off by changing the last letter of the APN setting and this will stop the phone accessing any data, just change it back if you need to go online.

Thanks for that. The charge occurred three times on different dates at the same time. It happened three more times also taking from 2.5mb to 10mb per download. mos are late at night. not sure if i was using the phone at the time. I use the iphone to download my mails for work so i need to leave the data link intact. Mail attachments arent a problem either. I am not sure if it is an app that is causing this.

Turn off push notifications, maybe Facebook, Ebay or google is pushing data to the phone, 2.5MB's only takes a few seconds here and there to download, you could try changing you mail fetch setting to manual for a week or 2 to at least eliminate the email as the source of the charges.
