can i lodge cash into my debit card acoount???

just wondering how do i put cash in to my accounnt so i can use my depit card,ive a aib debit card which i never used before,can i just walk up to the counter and give them the cash the same way as i do in the credit union:confused:

Usually it's linked to a current account. Just lodge the money into this account and happy days
