and register your various parts of the BF series. With increasing rank there, you'll get more unlocks available on release for BC2. Be warned that it's a tad buggy. I couldn't add my BFV key, claiming it was already used, and the boosters seem a bit random too.

BF2 add-ons and Heros may no difference to my rank. Just BF2 counted.

It only seems to really matter for the main games, BF2/2142/BFV etc, not the boosters or free ones.

Is it just adding in the cd keys? As i think i have had a account for every BF game ive played, and always forgotten the logins

you add your login details,
and then it adds to your rank, based on your progress in the games i think

It already shows up in the BC2 beta, and only allows access to some weapons, such as the M1 Garand based on this.

i tried the same details as when i log in when the game starts,
and tried the same details and when i log in on ea link.

and use the same details as the ones i used to login on the website,
still says invallid.

you need to register for EA.com for it work on the site.


guessing this cos when i logged in it used my kdjacl08 account as my username and thats the only place i used it.

i am registered on ea.
im able to sign in and look at my soldiers details.
but it just wont add the game.

"This CD-Key has already been claimed" is solved by EA Support.

What you will need to do is take your little manual out of the box, sign it and date it next to the CD-Key, take a picture of it (no naughty ones, please! ) and send it all through http://support.ea.com

i just signed up for bf heros and could not connect getting a 1002 error so ive never played it. But then I checked my vet status and its been added and my rank went from 5 to 6.
If only we could get 1943 reged i would have the top rank then.

At rank 5 already since I had BF2/214/BC1/Heroes so reckon I'll go to 6 when BC2 goes up for the PC (not showing yet)

Well it let me register 6 games in total. But there is no 2142 Northern Strike so it would have been 7.

Hopefully I will get another 2 with BC demo listed on the PS3......;)

Have played Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, BF2 (and exp packs), Heroes... think I could only add 1942. Will try the photo thing for Vietnam.

Weird thing is that I can login to BF2 with my login details, but can't add them to the vetern status webpage. Odd.

Coming from someone commenting on ranking up being too easy i'm lolin a little.

No this is my first game where i've been able to claim tags for the knife kills.

Anyone from back in Bf2 will remember my stabby nature, I take knife kills that present themselves and they are much easier since now its instant kill and a quick key. Must say though I do miss the old knife as a weapon selection.

I mean BF2 was perfect, I played that to death and only got to capt.....perfect pacing if you ask me. If it was not for BF2142 I prolly would have stayed with it.

All those late nights just to get to the next rank..man I will never get that time back.....PMSL

But then you had peeps playing nearly 24/7 on the one account....Ah well.

Ah yeah bf2 ranking was pretty decent but the expansions giving guns at the start that were ridiculously better and being able to use them in vanilla bf2 was ridiculous. There are quite a lot of unlocks in this game though so they need to do the ranking just right.

Not really sure how this Veteran thing works. I've registered Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, Battlefield 2, and Road To Rome, Secret Weapons and Special Forces (although I know expansions don't count), and yet only have a rank of 2! Anyone any idea how exactly they count the games?

Seems to only be the main games, but BF2, BFV and 1942 should give you rank 3 I would have thought. Then again the page is fairly broken.

Same here, though I wouldnt worry too much. Most of the guys I played BF2 with had all the weapons unlocked, however we nearly 100% played with the stock weapons.

Anyways a few hours play and you will have unlocked the other guns. Its just the Shiny Shiny that appeals.

That's what I thought too! Maybe they're still working out the kinks. But 1942, Vietnam and 2 should all count as individual games. Unless they don't count Vietnam... as in 1942 was the original, BF2 was the sequel, and everything inbetween was like Treyarch's games in the COD series (which I've now abandoned after the clusterf..k that was MW2).

Anyway, I'm just doing it so I can unlock the Thompson and Garand. I'll mostly use the stock unlocks, but those two guns are my favorite submachine gun and rifle of all time, so I'd like to have them for giggles.

Basically Battlefield 2/ 2142/ Vietnam/ Bad company (xbox) , Battlefield 2 (xbox).
I think i'm the highest rank I've seen...not sure:)

According to the vet page you can have maximum of 9 titles which for your Vet level says subtract 1 which means the maximum level is 8.
However in the game I'm level 9
