    Hi Guys

I'm on a fairly tight budget but I want to try get to a race this season with the old man. We were checking prices and for the first corner seat in Turkey its very cheap (€106) and then €65 for the second corner.

Flights seem to be the only thing running up costs. Has anyone gone to this race?

    would appreciate any info.

Hi, I'll be there sitting at Gold1. I have ordered my ticket from gpt.at as it seems to be the cheapest options including postage - €326 for 2 Gold tickets. Hopefully I'll get them just nearby the first conner. You can fly to Istanbul directly from DUB, but it's a little bit complicated if you want be at the track on Thursday, as the track is approx. 80-90 kms from Ataturk airport. My option is flight DUB-STN, STN-SXF (Berlin) with Ryanair then at 02:30 on Thursday SXF-SAW (Sabiha - airport 6km from the track) with Sunexpress. Return on Tuesday morning SAW-SXF (Pegasus), SXF-DUB (Ryanair). Total return fly cost will be around €150. Of course, it's a little bit mad, as I'll be going there all the night. Anyway that's my choice to be on Thursday morning at the track, to collect some autographs etc.

Another fly could be from Luton or Gatwick to Sabiha with EasyJet.

There should be no problem to find cheap hostel in Istanbul City Centre. On FRI-SUN you have free coach to the track, if you go early in the morning traffic won't be too bad.
There is no possibility to stay at the campsite as the track is 'far away from nowhere' and there is no camping facilities. That will be my 6th GP - first in Turkey :)

I was at the Turkish GP in '08 and had a seat at the first corner, was well worth it. Great view.

The facilities were very good. I did find the place lacked atmosphere, the locals don't seem very interested.
