That Breast Cancer awareness campaign on facebook

Do you think it worked? Did women actually get themselves checked? I had an argument with my girlfriend earlier about this (sad i know) but she was convinced that the whole thing was stupid, to quote her "The campaign with the colours was stupid. I really think it's outcome was nothing except a bunch of guys being like "HUHUHUH HER BRA IS POLKA DOTS TODAY HUHUHUH." How would anyone (myself included) know that it has ANYTHING to do with screening?"

I'm of the opinion that it did raise awareness, I thought it was pretty obvious that it had so basically I'm wondering who's right?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to discuss this and if it's already been discussed, my apologies.

Facebook has been endlessly discussed this past week. Everyone agreed that it's crap.

And your girlfriend is a keeper.
