You know the one thats download only, no disc, it looks pretty cool but I can imagine if I bought it it wouldn't work with my broadband, also charging more for less isn't great, might treat myself though.

It's quite nice but cramped, your hand wraps around it a lot more then the normal PSP. Plus, the normal PSP allows you to buy games second-hand (i.e. cheaper) so you can save money that way, as well as be more inclined to make impulse purchases (and buy more movies if you're on a plane etc.). Other then that they're identical!

I find it more comfortable than my old PSP, I think it's the shoulder button placement on the PSPgo. It's also much easier for me to take with me everywhere, whereas my old PSP is quite big in comparison - together with a couple of UMDs you start to notice how much you need to bring with you. It's not too bad though as there are plenty of carry cases available if you do end up getting an older PSP. So it'll depend how portable you like your portables. :pac:

The screen is much nicer than my old PSP (a PSP-2000), I know the newer PSP-3000 models have a good screen as well so I'm not sure if the PSPgo's screen is the same or better. The analog stick is much improved as well I think on the PSPgo.

It is €250 though, that's a bit much. You do get a free game with it and if you have an old PSP you can get 3 free older PSP games. If you're really into the PSP I definitely recommend one, but you're going to to be locked down to the PSN, so a US account might work out better with the cost of games. That being said, the EU PSN has a lot more sales than the US PSN, but you're free to use both stores on your PSP, you'll just have to switch between them.

A PSP-3000 with a nice big memory card could be the best of both. You can play UMDs which you'll get cheaper online or second hand, and you'll have loads of memory to download any games that are on sale or have gone out of print.

Don't get the 'more for less' thing, I mean it can't play UMDs but it has Bluetooth (meaning you can use a PS3 controller with it - hooked up to a TV this is a kickass feature), a save state feature and it comes with 16GB memory (whilst older PSPs come with none, unless you buy a bundle). If only it was cheaper I wouldn't have as many reservations recommending one.

Less battery power and the thought of having none of the psp games I alreadly own being able to work on this contraption is'nt very appealing. I don't know what the hell Sony were smoking when they came up with the psp go.

Don't forget the smaller screen, ridiculously-priced games on the PSN, and the fact that for only 50 Euro extra you can get a PS3

It's a complete failure in my opinion

Some games are overpriced....but lets not forget that all the PSone Classics are playable on the PSP and the new mini's collection is cheap games....but its a valid complaint.

I think it's great, you just grab it and go. No thinking about what games you want to bring with you or having to worry about lugging around discs. Everything is on the system and when you feel like something new, you can just download it from the PSN store, no having to go into town or ordering online and waiting for the postman. That's exactly why I got one, haven't had a portable since the gba was released, happy out!
