Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if the SU or some WIT societies are organising any college balls this term? I'm in a band and we're looking to play at one. I'd really appreciate any help, cheers!

It's usually a case of they'll call you, not the other way around :).

Early Childhood Studies are/will be. They have a band confirmed but if you PM your information, ill pass it onto the organiser in the event something changes.

who is judging wit factor by the way? is it the audience or the students union? im asking because some entrants surely wouldnt be allowed to enter for fear of a biased result if it is members of the union judging

This thread isn't about the WIT Factor btw. Lets move on and not get to far off topic.

The Business Society are running WIT's got talent, not students union.. We havent finalised the judges yet, and I can ensure you that who is ever judging will not be biased, it was clear last year, its a bit of fun but only the real talent people will make it to the top 3, Im not goina stop anybody entering it!

Im not fully sure on the details for WIT factor yet, but we might be collaberating the two together this year!

Thanks for the comments and the help. We actually have a good amount of experience, we've played The Village, Whelans, UCD Student Bar, Think Tank, Eamon Dorans, Peader Kearneys, Bruxelles Bar, MB Slatterys, Le Cirk etc and we've been booked for an upcoming UCC Ball. We thought we'd use boards as we've found it suprisingly difficult to find EXACTLY who organises each ball and who makes the decision regarding entertainment...
