Thinking of buying a Grade b 2g iphone on ebay, think after months of looking about this is a genuine good deal and not a fake. What I want to know is, is the 2g any good for me? Will the 2g connection be any good for a meteor phone in the west?

a 2G iPHone will be perfectly good for calls, text message and simple email. Buy don't expect it to be good for internet browsing. 2G means gprs connection for the internet, and this is slow. So loading a webpage might take 30-40 second or more.

*generally* iPhones can be restored using the software in iTunes, so if you have any software problems these can be fixed. So it is key to ensure the hardware (the physical part of the phone) is in good shape.

I would always buy from a eBay seller with 99% rating. If an eBay seller has a 70% rating then there have been some negative feedback.

Good decision, best off avoiding the 2G if you can help it, my previous phone had Edge only and it was painfully slow for browsing, which kinda defeats the purpose of the phone in the first place, also it doesn't have GPS which is another reason to avoid them.
