I've been looking around for a portfolio case on the cheap. Can anybody recommend anywhere to buy one? Cheers.

New portfolio cases are expensive, especially A1. You do see cheaper ones but you need to check whether they have plastic pockets in them, how the pockets are fixed and whether you have to buy them separately. Do you want one just for end of term presentation, to show as a portfolio for jobs or one that you are going to use fairly constantly.
I suggest you look out for a second hand one as art students often do not use them once the end of year exhibition is over. Try ads in local supermarkets or in the college if there is an art college near you.
Also try and get one that has the handle on the spine, so that your work is hanging in the case as you carry it. The more common ones with the handles on the zip side mean that your work sags inside the case.
Just from experience, if you are using it for job-seeking, try and use a smaller one if you can - you find yourself in an office trying to put an opened A1 portfolio onto a desk and knocking everything over.
