    Help.

I've down loaded a bit torrent of some software.

It's all sitting there on the Vuze bi torrent client with setup.exe and install.exe files. It totala size of software is over 6gb! Too big to put on a DVD.

The instructions are to mount or burn.

Nothing happens when I click any files.

What do I need to do to launch this software?

you need to download a virtual drive to mount the .iso file, google daemon tools and download that or alcohol120, it'll create a virtual dvd drive on your pc, heres instructions: (youtube link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTapZIx9DnQ)

    It seems straight forward enough.

What could I possibly do wrong?

I'll have a go and let you know how I get on.

    Thanks

there's a free version of alcohol 52% that just contains the basic functions of alcohol 120% - ie managing images, creating images. it'll create a virtual drive on first run and it's available here
alcohol manages almost any image you can have .iso, .mds etc

the most simple thing to do is to download and install daemon tool lite.

    To mount you can use:

    Demom-Tools Lite

    Virtual CloneDrive

    To burn as .iso:

    IMGBurn

duel layer dvds fit them i think.
here's what was meant to be posted earlier

As for torrents and loading isos and so on, make sure the torrent you're downloaded is clean. If it's from a trusted source (like a linux disk or someone professional) then it's more than likely going to be ok. if it's from another source look at the comments. Most people will report it if it has any malware.

Nonesense, the lite version works absolutely fine.

Since its 6gb you need a dual layer DVD as someone said above.
Jbloggs gave you the link to IMGburn which is very easy to use.

I use ultraISO in win7(have been using it since XP..) and you can pick context sensitive, ie Right Click the iso/bin/cue whatever and pick "Mount to Virtual Drive":)

    Another free virtual drive.

    SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive

    http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html

I avoid Alcohol now, due to the toolbar and supposed spyware\crapware bundled with it. (even if you don't install the toolbar)
