    hi all

    was in my local O2 store yesterday thinking of upgrading to 32GB 3GS from 16GB 3G.

    i was talking to the staff as they were very quiet and im entitled to an upgrade for very little money but they both said would i not wait for the 4G?? i played dumb and asked when did they think they would have it? they both said that they will launch in the states in March and here most likely no later that June.

    Anyone here hear of any of this??

    There's been a new iPhone every year since it was introduced. So it is granted that there'll be a new one again this year. There are only rumours as to the actual release date and what features it will contain. I'd say June/July at the absolute latest.

    I would recommend waiting as well.

    The most interesting rumour is of a touch-sensitive enclosure, like the magic mouse. I think Apple patented the idea of having controls (like a click wheel etc) on the back of the device a few years ago.

    It's one area that could really improve the interface. Scrolling webpages etc. can sometimes be a bit of a pain on the existing device.

    thanks for the advice guys, i think i will hang on.

    but, if apple screw around with the connection and compatibility of the new device with my parrot carkit and dock for my mac they can stick up their ho*e!!

    i agree, it does need a scroll wheel like the blackberry, would be very handy for web pages. i find that sometime when scrolling through the web pages i accidentally click a link.
