Are you sure it didn't say Free Range Eggs?

Ok....so does that mean you can stay all day and just keep refilling the basket?

Bit of a stinger for those who shelled out for membership surely? Both in terms of cash, and getting a bay...

Yeah, the current deal wasn't great imo. €150 + paying half price for every visit. Here's what I think the situation is...

Members: €150 one off - then €6 for chipping + €4.50 for a bucket of balls (say €10)
    versus
    Non-Members: €12 + €9 (say €20)

Personally, I'd rather drop €20 per visit without paying the membership fee, and use it as a luxury every couple of weeks, using my home club for run-of-the-mill practice. I like the opportunity to go and play 9 straight after practice too.

I suppose different set-ups will suit different people.

absolutely, membership only really becomes an advantage if you are going to be going there a lot

although even on your example its €10 a visit difference so once you went over 15 visits a year, membership works out cheaper

Do they check your membership when you are using the putting green?

fota range ( or academy as they call it ) is €200 per anum. plus the token each time for the balls. you chip and putt with ur own balls. it may see like laziness on my part but i have a real problem with the location of the range. you cant drive to it. you get drenched walking up and back ,its about a 5/6 min walk form the car park. they have pleant of space for a parking area up there, plus theres already lane way up there as the groundkeepers etc use it. i think to make it attractive they really need to look at the set up. i did voice this to the pro shop, the answer was use an umbrella !! maybe its just me but it does put me off.

    1.
I have never been asked for it but then again I probably showed the card earlier when buying range balls

    2.
If you are not a member, feck off and pay for it, actual members are paying for its provision and upkeep etc

If your paying for the chipping green, and a bucket of balls or whatever as a non-members, what's the deal with the putting green?

    sorry, dont know

tbh I'd say the charge for the putting green is simply to stop non-members camping there for the day
