Requirements to Teach Adult Courses

Hello, I would appreciate some advice from the experts! I have 15 years experience as a Graphic Designer and have taught interns throughout this time. I am interested in hosting some one on one/part-time/night courses for beginners and intermediate graphic design.

However I'm having difficulty finding out what further qualifications if any I need to pursue this? I have a diploma and numerous certificats throughout the years but no degree. Does anyone know how I can pursue this or could point me in the right direction?

    Thank you very much!

It's an area where your work experience will certainly count; you may have some trouble teaching on courses which lead to certificates etc, but general night courses should be fine - submit CVs and course proposals to a few places and see how it goes.

Does anyone know what degree would be useful to teach adults social studies at fetac level 3 or 4?

I would suggest that you look at doing some voluntary tutoring in that area to get a start. It's how I got a start and I am out the door with paid tutoring now! Still clocking up a fair amount of voluntary work as well.
Activlink, volunteer Dublin and the likes are good places to look at.
