    We've all had to do the usual wipe and rebuild, or inevitably bought some new gear and said sod it, time for a fresh start... so I would like to recommend for builders and "family IT Support folks" the site

    Ninite.com
    Ninite installs software fast with default settings and
    says "no" to browser toolbars and other junk.

    Ninite checks your PC's language and 64-bit support
    to install the latest, best version of each program.

    Ninite runs on Windows XP/Vista/7 and works in the
    background unattended and 100% hands-free.

    All Ninite does is automatically download and install
    the apps you select. Not even Ninite is installed.

    Basically lets you choose what programs you want to install from a segmented list, then creates a custom installer that will download and install all your chosen app's without having to do anything.
    Let's you have a cuppa and come back to everything being ready to run.
