I need some help in understanding how to input data and fitting regression line in excel and formulas used. Am not that familiar with excel and its functions. If anyone is available to offer a couple hours tuition ,I would appreciate it very much.

    Thank You.

just put excel help or excel tutorial into google and you should come up with a few stuff.

you could consider looking into getting a certificate in MS apps... there is a nice easy one but i cant remember that it is.

Have a look at the following: http://phoenix.phys.clemson.edu/tutorials/excel/regression.html . It has a little more detail than you need to get started, but you could skip the long formulae and go straight to "regression with built-in functions".

I am available to give tuition, my details are on page 4 of the "3rd Level Maths Grinds" sticky at the top of the maths forum.

I can't think of any excel that it isn't easy to learn with a little googling. Just put a few hours into googling anything that you might think is possible, and there is a wealth of resources available.

Learning VBA is pretty handy as well if you work a lot in Excel. Its not too hard. I know barely anything about programming, and was able to pick up the essentials quite quickly. It really helps in making spreadsheets that you reuse much faster, more eloquent, smaller, and more adaptable.

That is not to say that tuition won't speed up the process, or progress yourself further than if you just did it yourself, but it certainly is possible to go it alone due to the vast quantity of information about this subject online.
