credit checks - Mods not sure where to post!

hi all, just wondering what the story is with a Uk letting agency carrying out credit checks on me. they want to charge a fee for this but bar 8 months that they dont know about i have lived in Ireland. would they even be able to do the check from there? totally clueless about them! ta.

They won't bother doing the check but will charge you the fee.

Tell them to get stuffed with the fee and if it's there policy to run a credit check they can pay for it themselves.

Common sense here really.
