MIDI Controllers & different programs

Just a quick question here, can MIDI controllers (talking about the Korg NanoKontrol in particular) be easily mapped to different programs? Is the mapping information stored solely on the laptop?

I've a gig next week, but I won't have my controller for a couple of weeks, so I'm thinking of borrowing a mate's NanoKontrol, which he uses for visuals. Will I be able to remap it to Traktor and have it still mapped to Isadora on his Macbook?

Yup, the mapping is all done via the program you use,

You should be able to find the mapping you need over at the Native Instruments forum
