Hi, I'm quite new to photography & I've recently invested in a Canon 50D which came with the 28-135mm kit lens.. Was just wondering if anyone could recommend some reasonably priced lenses I could buy..

My favourite things to shot would be landscapes, portraits & macro images.. There were 3 add on /attachment screwy on things that came with the kit, one being a macro one which is quite good & will probably do me for the moment but I want to get sharp, clear detailed images!

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!
    :o

Maybe a mod could move this to the main forum?

    Welcome aboard Boards Susie :)

Save your money and get an L series........
Valentia has a 100mm macro that I'm sure he'd let you try - serious money but well worth it.

BTW what does this mean ... Maybe a mod could move this to the main forum?
have I done something wrong.. Am I in the wrong place?

It's kinda sorta the wrong place.
This question is more suited to the main forum where it will get more views and hopefully answers. You haven't done anything wrong just hoping one of the powers that be would move it across. Not too many people find their way in here. :)

I meant the main photography forum rather than one of the sub fora.

You'll notice at the top the three subs - Digital Darkroom - Photo Challenge - Photographic Expeditions. They are the three sub fora and they tend to be more specialised than the main forum - Photography.

The Darkroom one is geared towards "darkroom" questions - processing, photoshop, film developing etc.

The Photo Challenge is just that - various assignments that usually last two weeks (I expect to see your work in the next challege :))

Expeditions - it's what it says on the tin - various expeditions, outings, photowalks etc that are organised from time to time. The flash meet we had last night was one such outing.
