Official Headset + Socom 29.99

Not much more to add to the title but i just spotted Socom with the sony headset for 29.99 in HMV. If anyone is looking to pick it up.

The headset is the best on the market offering HQ sound and Socom is a great game. (If your a COD kid you wont like it but fans of squad based games will love it)

Headset is 24 on play and socom is still 20 used in Gamestop/Game. So this may be of some use to some people.


Also picked up 3 PSP Games (prince of persia revalations, Driver 76 and rainbow 6 vegas) box set for 13.99.

Yea its the official Sony headset it will work with every game and all the chat features.

The game or the headset ? The head set is the best on the market ive had 3 the warhawk one that fell into the toilet (note to self take off headset before peeing:D) the Sony one and the Gtech one.


Socom is very much a love it or hate it game. People that like it really love it & people that want every game to be COD don't enjoy it as you have to use your brain and proper tactics like getting into cover :eek: and working with team mates :eek:

Either way if you are on the look out for the headset then you get Socom more or less for free so no one can argue with a free game...or can they ??:D.

Ah I had meant the game. I had read that the headset was excellent. Indeed you're right, at the price you're pretty much getting the game for free so it's not to be sniffed at. I reckon I'll pop along to HMV at lunch and see if there's any left.

The game can be a bit intimidating when you first start as its hard and the people that play it are serious !! . But go into a begineers match and you ll soon pick it up. Nothing comes close to the enjoyment i get from meeting 2 or 3 random people teaming up and having everything fall into place and destorying everyone else who is running around on their own.

So strange, I just picked this up in HMV today too. The headset looks a million times better built than the others, the only reason I got it. They have about 10 left in Swords Pavillion, anyway.

Anyone up for some of this... what is it? SOCOM?, hehe.

HMV Cruises Street, Limerick had about 5 of these today. HMV crescent Shopping Centre had none. I think only some branches might have them.

The box I got mine in looked like it had been on the shelf since release day. I think it was the only one left and I imagine it's just a stock clearing excercise, so it's going to depend on how much stock certain stores had left over. The headset is damn nice though.
