If you are spending that much on CPU/motherboard combo then go X58

    http://www3.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=26004&agid=1191

I'd also probably go for the XFX version of the 4890,better cooler by the looks of it,and great after sales from XFX

    http://www1.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=28209&agid=1004

    Aswell as that,some faster RAM that's also cheaper.And G.Skill s very good

(Just make sure to check the compatibility of the RAM with the board)

That F2 isn't the best value, but you could get 2 of these (and put them in RAID0 ) and they would be MUCH faster.

I'd also not go with a Cheiftec case,I'd recommend the HAF 922,better cooling and cable managment.

So,I've practically changed your whole build, but your coming out with a better build for less money :)

Do you really need the professional edition of windows 7? The standard Home Premium is great too tbh, only some added software in the pro edition. Not worth the price unless you really need it.

Also, I think the 5770 is better value for money, fair enough you're gonna loose a few FPS, but nothing major and you can overclock it too. Lower power usage and less heat, tis a good card.

And what do you use your computer for? You could get a good i5 750 in there with a good cooler and Overclock it. Toppled with a UD3 mobo or another with USB 3.0 and Sats 6gbs you got something that should last awhile for sure.

Here's an alternative to the build posted, if you would benefit more from the i7 then the build Deano put up is a good way to go.

Just a few notes, I put a pricer case in there cause I think it's awesome, case is mostly down to personal opinion so you should fine something you like use the £94 as a guideline and get something around that range.

This is off scan.co.uk too. Used them a few times and I'm very impressed with their service, they reply to your emails super fast.

Shop around on a few sites the parts might be cheaper elsewhere, wouldn't advise OC.uk though since they charge Irish VAT.

There's no CPU cooler in there as I can't find a good one, but you have a good €60 to find one, maybe that Mugen Rev 2(for 1156 sockets).

    Here's some sites to check.
    www.ebuyer.co.uk
    www.aria.co.uk
    www.dabs.ie
    www.elara.ie
    www.komplett.ie

I don't know any german sites as I don't use them for builds, they charge a flat rate shipping of €30(to Ireland) on most of them I think.

Wow, thanks lads, wasnt expecting good feedback that quick. Im buying this because i want a new machine to be used primarily for gaming for around 1000, ive been putting it off For months as i hate trying to decide what to get as new parts keep comming onto the market.
Id stumbled across that case you linked up deano before i checked the thread so im taking credit for that one:D
As for your recomendation on using a raid set up ive not farmiliar with them to be honest, i am planning on partitioning the hdd to keep windows seperate to everything else for easiness sake, can i do that with 2 500gb drives done in raid?
Im pretty much made up my mind on the following build (apart from the harddrive) and plan on ordering it tomorrow or tuesday so if ive done something stupid please let me know before then, cheers again lads

Sorry, i mean if i had 2 500gig hard drives in Raid, would i be able to create a partition, id rather have the os on its own for easiness sake in case i ever have to do a reinstall.

Why oh why are you going with a HD4890??

If you're building a new build, go for at least a HD5850.

You'll still be well under the 1k mark as per your budget (even with a 5870).

I'd pretty much go with what GrimReaper has spec'd there, but I'd throw in a HD5870 instead of the HD5770.

Yes, the OS merely sees both drives as one big one. But there's really no reason to create a RAID 0. Its slightly faster, yes, are you really going to notice? Probably not. I'd rather use 1 drive to back up the other in a RAID 1 TBH.
Or just save yourself the hassle and buy a 1TB drive, and don't worry about RAID.

Or if its speed you want, you could splash on an SSD, but they're not worth it from a GB/€ perspective yet IMO
