Hi all, anybody know why a USAF C-17A "08-8192" 62nd AW 446th AW was in Dublin?? Apparently its the second time only that a C-17 has graced Dublin's tarmac.

Though there are probably easier ways of doing it, is it possible it's picking up aid from Irish organisations for delivery to Haiti?

    Just found out:

    Quote:N7777G

"It was a weather diversion from Spangdahlem AB, Germany.
However, the poor weather in the UK forced it to route towards Shannon initially but low viz there forced the diversion into Dublin (arrived around 0800).
It eventually departed @ 1245 to Spangdahlem."
