iphone unlocking

i have a iphone from the usa i stupidly updated it on itunes and now its back to factory setting and i cant unlock it cause it wont conect to itunes cause it does not have a sim from usa , does any one have any ideas ????? i tride to unlock it using ziphone but says it has a pairing isue with itunes

If it was running firmware 3.1.2 then use blackra1n.
It's got hacktavation built in so no need for a sim.

nah that didnt work it did go into recovery and then just went back to how it was at the start its about a year and a bit old so i really dont know what it was running be for i stuffed it up

ikeith yeah sorry i dont have a clue what i was running on it i bought it of a mate he had got it unlocked when he brought it back from usa he not around any more , how would i find that out now that i cant get into the phone ? sorry im not very good at this tec stuff

Forget about the previous firmware ... You said you updated it via iTunes , if this is the case , and done in recent days then the phone will now be running on 3.1.2 .
Blackra1n should run no worries ... **Wait penny just dropped!
Is your iPhone a 2g , 3g or 3gs ?

mixednuts sorry i dont have a clue im pretty clue less when it comes to this phone i only ever used it for the ipod and the camera ,anyway i can see if its a 2g or 3g ?

its a 3g modle number A1203 just ran blackrain ,didnt work says sim card is not supported

Probably your best bet is some how get hold of a sim card from the US to activate the phone.
After that it's a simple case of using blacka1n

Bkackra1n should still hacktavate the phone ? When was the iTunes update done ...days , weeks or months ago.
My suspicions are that it's not on 3.1.2

i did it yesterday like a fool ,its just told me to restore it again so im doing that and il try again, how do i get it on 3.1.2

Sorry my mistake ( I think ) ...

You seem to have restored your phone and not updated it..correct?

If so the restore would have removed your last unlock.

Now, is iTunes asking you do you want to update your software ?
If not you should see a " check for updates" button , thus is how you update your firmware to 3.1.2

Once your phone is updated to 3.1.2 then blackra1n should work a treat

Update the phone to the latest firmware using iTunes.

Download Blackra1n and run with iTunes closed. Once that is done, you need to run the Blackra1n app that will be sitting as an icon on your phone.

The PC/Mac app Blackra1n jailbreaks the phone- the app that it installs on your phone that you have to then run is to unlock the phone for mobile service.

Sounds like you have the first part, and now just need to run phone unlock.

no its no ur mistake its mine for sure ha, yeah the 1st time it said new softwear do u want to up date it so i said yes now its put it back to factory settings which the 1st unlock is off it and now itunes wont activate it cause i do not have the correct sim card and the only option it gives me is to restore it to factory settings , it says your iphone software is up to date , but on the summary it says name;iphone . capacity;n/a . software version;n/a .

i think black rain just worked yes it did its working again i have all the stuff up but it wont call or accept calls

it is running 3.2.1 but now it wont sync wit itunes says required field missing

Right, so now you have a restored/up to date iPhone.

Run Blackra1n on your PC-then run the Blackra1n app on the iPhone itself and it will allow you to make calls then.

Pick up from wherever you have got to using the instructions below. If you are un sure, start again.

Plug phone into iTunes.

Upgrade to latest firmware using iTunes.

Close down iTunes.

Open Blackra1n on pc.

Run Blackra1n.

After it is finished running, phone will reboot.

Unplug phone from PC and run Blackra1n app on iPhone. After it is finished you will be able to make calls.

i did that and when i opend it on the iphone it just says please select a package then under it it says check ur internet connection and an uninstall option thats all ???ant ideas ?

Okay-now you are getting somewhere.

Have you access to wifi?

Go to settings > wifi and join a network.

Then launch blackra1n app on iphone. Select 'Snow' and 'install' from top right of screen.

You may not need internet connection to install 'snow' so don't worry of you don't have access.

How are you getting on , I've been reading .. Your getting there .
As radio says you only need to unlock your phone now so you can use a different sim , to do that you need to run and install blacksn0w , which can be found under the blackra1n app on your phone.
It does need to be done over wifi , so next task us to get your phone working on yours ( or someones wifi ., then just run blacksn0w.

i dont know how it happend but now the blaksnow has gone off my phone i ran blacksnow again but it never loaded on to my phone any ideas ?? also i gotta say the ppl on here are very very good to put up with dopes like my self its great to see ppl helping us out like that so thanx in advance

it didnt work its stil not back on the phone , itunes wants me to restore it every time i run black rain do i have to do that all over again ?
