    Hi All,
Im looking for a sand blaster to restore a few old gates and maybe some car restoration also. I have got 2 quotes from two different guys with very different systems. The first lad has one for 140euro and runs off a normal compressor which I have. The second one is 1200euro and runs off a compressor that you would tow around behind a jeep or truck which would cost approx another 2-3k on top of the 1200 unless I was to rent one.
Since there is a massive difference in price I was wondering if the cheaper one is any good does anyone have any experience with either. I have seen a vid of the more expensice one and it is impressive but very very expensive.

    140euro

    1200 euro

Any idea if the cheaper one will serve my purpose??

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Looks like I found the exact same one on youtube so it just looks to have less power so would take longer.

Yeah I got it in the end it does the job but is very slow to take off anything that it stubborn. For the price and the time it took me to do it I could have paid somebody to do it but this way I now have a sandblaster so next time it wond cost nearly as much so a good buy in the long run in my opinion. Just be prepared to take a while to complete the work.

In fairness the best way is to soda blast for cars, it removes all the paint and doesn't rust easily after the metal is bare.
