The drinking age is 18 but enforcement is very sparse. As long as you older than 15, you will be fine and get served. Spend a few nights in Christys, great bar.

I stayed there a few years ago but spent most of my time in Barcelona... What I will say is that you need to keep an eye out, my friend was followed by a dodgy looking sunglasses salesman!! Keep an eye on your stuff and you'll be grand! Go to Barcelona, such a fantastic city!

As fantastic a city as Barcelona is, and by god it is fantastic, that is where the OP should really be careful. The amount pf pickpocketing and the likes taking place on La Ramblas in shocking. Don't let that put you off though. Spend at least a full day in Barcelona, go visit Tarragona which is an ancient Roman City just up the coast and is beautiful. We rented bikes one day and went up to Cambrils and la Pineda ( the cycle to La Pineda is great). Im sure you know all ready but Port Aventura is brilliant. Not much really in Salou as with pretty much all the holiday resorts. You will have a great time though

unlike here where bouncers do their upmost to keep out people out of clubs in salou the basically drag you in, free shots all over the shop,

Just to bump this thread..im thinking of going to Cambrils during the summer..the plan is sleep in cambrils but hang out in salou which is a bit more livelier..so can anyone recommend some good apartments that are cheap?( students) Also, what travel agencies did you go with?

    Thankyou..
