If so, I have a really important question -

How long after the second year field trip must your report/essay/presentation etc be done? Are the deadlines at the end of the month, or what>

    Thanks a lot, Rory

Your essay is done the last day of the trip usually...it's handed up with your field notebook when u arrive back. That's what happened last year anyway. In other words ur last day is spent doing it. You'll have to do an essay before you go and nightly group presentations when you are there. That's how it worked last year.

Email the lecturer thats taking you to make sure.

Thanks a lot for that! :)

I've got holidays booked for the day after I get back, so I was freaking out that I was going to have to do an essay during them, or miss a presentation! :)

Well if it's the same set up as last year you should be ok, i'd double check though. What trip did you get?

Went to Portugal last year was a some laugh.

I checked it out this afternoon, same story as last year alright, with the report to be handed up on the plane.

I'm going to Zaragoza in Spain for a week, it was my first choice. I'm actually doing European Studies with German, but because there was no German speaking destination, I chose Spain as I speak a bit of Spanish.

Is it actually a good laugh? I've got images of a rakeload of work, and I'm the only person in my class going to Zaragoza, so I'm hoping to get talking to a few people. I imagine everyone goes out on the lash every night yeah?

Every night without fail. It's a bit of a dose gettin up early and writing notes all day but you get used to it.

Sweet. We're staying right in the centre of the old town, and Zaragoza is a really great city, so I'm looking forward to heading out with around 40 others! Should be good craic I guess, but I'll probably take it easy enough when we've got an excursion the next day; last thing I want is to be stuck on a bus with a hangover before having to go and take notes on some hills.

That was the worst day...it was like 20 odd degrees as well.
