wondering if any one has any suggestions as to what to do

will the manufactuers warrenty cover this?
or is it the shops responibility

im certain its a hardware fault now as ive double checked drivers and the bios version on the machine and tryd booting with a linux live cd just incase
and i know generaly with laptops replacing the usb hub means replacing the entire motherboard (i ont want to wait 2 months while they send it off to be fixed when by right its them that sold me a faulty machine.

thanks a in advance to any one who replys:)

(some edits made to thread just in case anyones wondering what the first 4 posters are on about):)

Best bet is to reinstall Home premium and bring it back for an exchange. You shouldn't have much difficulty getting a return if it is really faulty.

Try rebooting the machine and hitting F8 and go into the repair console. I thought some samsungs had an application within windows to return the laptop to it's original setting too though...

Boot with a linux live CD to check if the ports work with linux. That should tell you if it is a hard ware or software issue.

Fedora would probably be the best Live CD to use for a new laptop.

If it's anything like Samsung netbooks it'll have a system restore partition and utility that can be accessed by hitting F4 just as the first screen appears.
