Free or cheap call to landline/mobile

    I find im using up an awful lot of mobile credit lately making landline and mobile calls.

    Quick look on the skype site and I can see it would be much cheaper to use it when I'm by the pc than my mobile.

    I don't know an awful lot about VoIP, quick google shows many many site that offer free/paid calls from a pc. I see some charge a monthly fee, which I'm not keen on, other topup which I think I would prefer. I'm not to interested in having a landline number assigned to me.

    Is skype a good option or are there better providers out there?

    Take a look at Blueface and their Pay as you go offer : http://www.blueface.ie/residential/payg.aspx

    You can use them from your PC but also with an IP phone or an adapter for your current phone, basically it could replace your home phone setup.

    I'm with NTL, no phone conenction/landline in the house here.
