Hi I want to take some old paint of some indoor brickwork, a large old fireplace. I have tried nitromors, wire brushing, scraping etc.. but it cant get it all off. I want a clean finish so I am thinking of sandblasting. I am willing to do this my self if I can so I want to rent a sandblaster, where can I get one in cork area, rent for a day or less as it shouldn't take too long as it is a small job.

Its sounds like a small job but the sand in a sandblaster is very fine.
It goes everywhere and can remain in the interior after months or years of hoovering & brushing.

You could form a clear plastic tent over it to contain the sand (you dont have to use sand there are options like plastic pellets) but blasting is risky and you need a bit of practice. Try a local monumental mason they have mobile blasters it would be a handy 20 mins nixer.
